FRANK, JR. BREAKING NEWS

APRIL 13, 2009

The Heckenast Racing team invaded the Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Indiana last Saturday night, April 11. The Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) and Sunoco American Late Model Series (ALMS) co-sanctioned a $2,000 to win show on Saturday at the northern Indiana venue. Frank Heckenast, Jr. ran fourth in his heat race, but later won his B-Main to advance into the main event. After starting eighteenth on the grid, Frankie sported a great racecar during the A-Main, as he advanced up to the fourth position to finish behind winner Dennis Erb, Daren Friedman, and Guy Volk. You can view complete results from Kamp online at www.dirtondirt.com.

APRIL 6, 2009

Frank Heckenast, Jr. and his #99jr team were back on the track last weekend at the Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. The World Dirt Racing League (WDRL) Series held their season opener on Saturday, April 4 at Davenport and a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs. Frankie suffered bad luck throughout the program, as he hit an inside utility tire during both his heat race and his consolation event. The Orland Park, Illinois driver ultimately took a series provisional to gain access into the A-Main and completed one lap en route to a twenty-fourth place effort. You can view complete results online at www.worldraceleague.com.

MARCH 9, 2009

The Heckenast Racing team, with Frank Heckenast, Jr. behind the wheel of their #99jr MasterSbilt from Mars / Pro Power entry, invaded the pristine Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky over the March 6-7 weekend. After unfortunately failing to transfer into Friday's $5,000 to win feature event, Frankie had a great run during Saturday's portion of the 'March Madness' weekend. The Orland Park, Illinois native qualified well and later won his heat race to earn the outside second row starting spot for the $7,500 to win main event. Following 40 green flag racing laps during the A-Main on Saturday, Frankie crossed underneath the checkers in the fourth position behind winner Jason Feger, Shannon Babb, and Ray Cook.
